Business Services Group

The Business Services Group (BSG) of the Department of Employment Services (DOES) provides individualized services to employers, encourages participation in DOES programs, and hosts seminars and job fairs. Find out more about the Business Services Group:

View contact information for the Business Services Group.

Employer Outreach
The BSG team serves as the liaison for the business community by accessing other District Government and federal agencies, civic and community organizations, as necessary, on the employer's behalf. Staff may be designated as Account Executives, providing individualized services to employers and coordinating related activities. They also speak before business and community groups, both public and private, in order to provide information about DOES programs.

Employer Seminars
The BSG team plans and conducts employer and employee seminars to promote and enhance interest in workforce development. Additionally, the office provides information on the impact of newly enacted and pending legislation, relative to the business community. We also conduct job fairs and workshops for the business community, community-based organizations and the public sector.
